TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms of Service with Shine Plus Automotive Detailing, LLC

Booking with Shine Plus Automotive Detailing, LLC requires agreement with our terms of service.

Credit card preauthorization and pre-payment: 

Customers are required to have a payment method on file prior to initiation of service for preauthorization purposes. All service is by appointment to ensure the best possible experience for our customers.  We never overbook and strive to always show up right at the scheduled time.  To reserve your spot on the schedule a 25% deposit on the cost of service is required at the time of booking.

Regarding cancellation, no show & rescheduling: 

Shine Plus, LLC asks for 48 hours advance notice of cancellations and rescheduling. As of March 2025, in the instance of late cancellation, no show, or rescheduling, the customer will be charged a fee of 25% of the service price. No showing for an appointment is defined as not being at the predetermined service location within 30 minutes of the scheduled appointment time. The exception to the rule is for rain or other environmental factors which would make the service difficult or impossible to perform, or for true and genuine emergencies. The possibility of rain will not be considered a valid reason for cancellation, no show or rescheduling.  

Rain policy:

Active rain or the nearby presence of lightning is a valid reason for the customer or for Shine Plus to cancel an appointment as this makes service difficult or impossible to perform. However, every attempt will be made to complete the service on the same day when rain or lightning subsides. The possibility of rain will not be considered a valid reason for cancellation, no show or rescheduling.  Shine Plus, LLC will not return to dry off or complete a second wash, or complete any other similar service, on a vehicle which has been recently cleaned and was subsequently rained on. This principle applies to any other environmental hazard such as dust, tree leaves, tree pollen etc.  

Approved locations for mobile detailing:

Shine Plus asks that all customers gather all information necessary prior to their appointment to confirm whether or not mobile detailing services can be performed at their desired service location. Commercial parking lots, HOA communities, and any properties with property mangers may or may not have rules which allow mobile detailing services or there may be rules as to where the detailing can be performed on the premises. It is the responsibility of the customer to find out this information prior to our arrival. If Shine Plus is told to leave the property, or is asked to relocate on the premises because the customer did not notify us of a proper approved service location, the service will be immediately terminated and the customer will be charged for the full price of the detailing service, regardless of how much of the service has been completed. This is very important and there are no exceptions.  

Battery draw during time of service:  

During service the doors and trunk are required to be open for periods of time which can cause internal vehicle lights to turn on. This is an expected part of service, therefore battery draw is to be expected.  Should the battery lose its charge during the course of the service, Shine Plus, LLC will not be held responsible for replacing the vehicle battery.  

Right to adjust service price based upon vehicle condition:

Shine Plus, LLC is unaware of a vehicles condition until we arrive on site. Vehicles which are in atypical condition will have the service price adjusted to ensure the service price is appropriate for the services rendered. Examples of atypical cases are listed below. Each qualifying condition is an additional $25 with extreme cases of any qualifying condition being $50. 

Qualifying exterior conditions:

• atypical amounts of mud, dirt or foliage

• atypical amounts of brake dust and/or dirt on wheels

• atypical amounts of artillery fungus or mold

• atypical amounts of tree sap or tar

• atypical amounts of bug splatter

• atypical amounts of tree pollen contamination

 

Qualifying interior conditions:

• atypical amounts of pet hair

• atypical amounts of sand, dirt, clay etc

• atypical amounts of trash, food crumbs, wrappers, or other mess

• atypical amounts of personal items which are required to be removed and replaced

Personal item removal policy:

Shine Plus, LLC kindly asks that all personal items be removed from the vehicle prior to service. Shine Plus will remove and replace any items which remain in the vehicle in order to properly complete the detailing service.  The customer may need to pay an additional $25 to $50 fee if the amount of personal items which remain in the vehicle is atypical and excessive. By leaving personal items in the vehicle the customer also acknowledges that this poses a risk of the item being lost in the process of being removed and replaced in the vehicle. Shine Plus, LLC will not be held liable for lost personal items which were left within the vehicle.  

Child car seat policy:

Shine Plus, LLC will not remove child car seats from the vehicle as this may pose a safety risk if the seat is not reinstalled to the manufacturers recommendations. If you would like the area underneath and around the child's car seat cleaned then please remove the seat prior to our arrival. The child car seat will then be reinstalled by the owner.  Car seats are eligible to be cleaned with the child car seat detailing add-on.  

Engine bay detail policy:

At Shine Plus, LLC, we take every precaution to minimize the risk of damage when performing engine bay detailing. Our process uses advanced tools and techniques to limit water and cleaning product exposure. However, despite these measures, engine components may still become loosened, disconnected, or damaged during the service. Shine Plus, LLC is not responsible for pre-existing damage, worn parts, or faulty components that may become more apparent or worsen as a result of the detailing process. While we strive for the highest level of care, we cannot guarantee that the vehicle will operate without issues after the service. By choosing this service, the customer assumes all risk. Shine Plus, LLC is not liable for any repairs, replacements, or loss of use resulting from engine bay detailing.

Claims of dissatisfaction:  

Shine Plus, LLC offers our customers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Should our customer be dissatisfied for any reason we will return the price paid for the particular service which caused the dissatisfaction. See disclaimers below. All claims of dissatisfaction must be submitted within 48 hours of service completion. Should the claim be submitted after 48 hours, Shine Plus, LLC withholds the right to decline said claim. All dissatisfaction claims undergo an internal review where before and after photos are compared and management will discuss the matter with the customer and staff. 

Seats and carpet shampoo disclaimer:

Shine Plus, LLC does not guarantee the full removal of stains or defects in vehicle seats or carpeting or any other material with shampoo or steam cleaning service. Certain stains and defects are simply unable to be removed from fabrics even with the best tools, products and techniques. If a client is dissatisfied with a shampoo or steam cleaning service they must speak with management in order to come to a resolution. 

Paint correction disclaimer:

Shine Plus, LLC does not guarantee the full removal of scratches, fading or other paint defect issues with paint correction service. Certain paint defects are simply unable to be removed due to conditions such as but not limited to; inadequate remaining clear coat, depth of scratch extending beyond the clear coat layer, and overly oxidized paint. If a client is dissatisfied with a paint correction service they must speak with management in order to come to a resolution. 

Use of photos & recordings:  

Shine Plus, LLC gives our customers advance notice that photos and videos of customers vehicles taken during the time of service will be used for marketing and quality assurance purposes. No photos which include personal identifiers such as a license plate will be used for marketing purposes.  If a photo does include a personal identifier it will be used strictly for internal record.
